Recycling advice  At the Westbourne Horticultural Show today, Sunday 20 August 2017, in the Parish Hall (which opens at 2.15pm) there will be a stand where you can find out what we can and cannot recycle. Please support this initiative as this may help to clear the fog around this subject, at least for those of us who live in West Sussex.

Patronal Festival 27 August 2017  To celebrate our Patronal Festival there will be 'enhanced' refreshments after the 9.30am service so please join us for a hot dog, ice cream or cake and tea or coffee. If you would like to make a cake for the occasion please bring it along on the morning. There is no later morning service at Woodmancote on that day.

Revd Dr Alison Green  Alison has recently completed a Curacy at Chichester Cathedral.  She was licensed on Thursday 10 August 2017 to serve in the Parish of St John the Baptist Westbourne and will undertake duties as Associate Priest in the coming weeks.

Bible Reading Notes for September to December 2017 These are in the pigeon holes for those who have ordered them.

Morning Prayer This takes place in St John the Baptist Church on all days from Monday to Friday at 8.30am. We are always pleased to see new people, whether on the odd occasion or as regular members of these congregations. The service takes place in the side chapel on the north side of the church, and our usual numbers are between 6 and 10; sometimes more.

Mark your Diaries  St John the Baptist Church looks forward to hosting a concert on Sunday evening, 15 October 2017, given by Ella Rundle, former Westbourne resident, as part of WemsFest 2017.

Advance notice Revd Andrew Doye has arranged a parish quiet day, which he will lead, on Thursday 30 November 2017, at Birdham, West Sussex. Likely timings are 10am-4pm.

Clean Jam Jars  These are needed for jam making in preparation for the Christmas Fair. Please leave at the back of the church.
