Christian Aid Coffee Morning
Do join Frieda and the Home & Overseas Committee for a Coffee Morning on Friday 10 August to raise money for Christian Aid.  Follow the signage on Church Road between 10.00 and 12.00 and enjoy the beautiful garden, along with refreshments, a raffle, produce and a nearly new table.

Bible Reading Notes for September to December 2017 are in the pigeon holes for those who have ordered them.    There are also new publications available, including one for Advent – please see the box in the church welcome area.  I can place an order for you if you wish. Dennis F

Revd Alison Green
Alison has recently completed a Curacy at Chichester Cathedral. She will be licensed on Thursday, 10 August 2017 to serve in the Parish of St John the Baptist Westbourne and will undertake duties as Associate Priest in the coming weeks at both our church and chapel.

Morning Prayer
This takes place in St John the Baptist Church on all days from Monday to Friday at 8.30am. We are always pleased to see new people, whether on the odd occasion or as regular members of these congregations. The service takes place in the side chapel on the north side of the church, and our usual numbers are between 6 and 10, sometimes more.

Parish Hall
Help still needed for maintenance work in the Hall including cleaning and some decorating (see separate list of jobs).  If you could help at all please let me know.  Equally if you would like to book the hall during August please get in touch. Andrew T

Mark your Diaries (two events)
St John the Baptist Church looks forward to hosting a concert on Sunday evening, 15 October 2017, by Ella Rundle, former Westbourne resident, as part of WemsFest 2017.

Advance notice, that Andrew Doye has arranged a parish quiet day, which he will lead, on Thursday 30 November 2017, at Birdham.  Likely timings are 10am-4pm.

Choir
The choir will be on holiday now until the Patronal Service on 27 August 2017, with the next choir practice on Thursday 24 August at 7.00pm.
