A service of prayer, readings and music, remembering our loved ones who have died. All welcome. Please let me know soon if you hope to attend and would like read out, during the lighting of candles, the name of a person dear to you who has died in 2016 or 17 -  Revd Andrew Doye

Woodmancote Restoration Appeal update
Thank you to those continuing to support this 125th anniversary project. Donation leaflets are still available in the churches for anyone still wishing to contribute. More about the Woodmancote Church Appeal.
A successful fund-raising quiz at The Woodmancote Pub (for which we are very grateful) has raised a marvellous £500.
On Fri 27 October 2017, 7.30pm there will be a Wine tasting & Cheese evening at Woodmancote Church towards the Appeal. Tickets, £12.50 from Chrissy.

Wednesdays Evenings in November  -   The Parish Hall, 7.45pm
St John the Baptist Church presents a series of excellent visiting speakers, addressing issues of contrast and understanding, in what the Church considers each year as The Season of the Kingdom.

Please join us, and advertise these evenings to your friends. On 8th, 15th & 29th there will be an optional communion service in the Hall from 7pm, followed by a ten minute break before the evening’s talk.

Rona Musker will talk on her 'Life with Auntie' (working with the BBC), Sunday 29 October 2017. 
There will be fizz and a cream tea. 3pm in the Parish Hall. Tickets £10 now available after Church on Sundays or from Rona. 

Saturday 11 November 2017 - Have you got your tickets yet? 
Come and enjoy another Quiz, with a supper of Fish and Chips.  Tickets £10 available from Angie L or Miriam. Come alone or bring a team of up to six.

Parish Quiet Day, Thursday 30 November 2017 to be led by Andrew Doye from 10am-4pm, at Birdham. Sign-up sheets are almost full, but there will be a waiting list.

Christmas Lunch - Sunday 17 December, 12.30pm, Parish Hall
A lovely, relaxing afternoon is planned with a delicious three-course meal.  Tickets will be available from late October 2017. To help on the day or offer raffle prizes,  please contact Isobel or Angie L.

- the police or a bank never ask you for personal details or pin numbers on the phone. If you spot a scam or have been scammed, report it and get help. Contact ActionFraud on 0300 123 2040 or online at www.actionfraud.police.uk 
-  never send money to anyone you do not know or trust. If you are offered unsolicited services by post, on the phone or via email, it could be a scam – always find your own service provider. Always log on to a website directly rather than clicking on links provided in an email. If you do not recognise an email sender, don’t open the email.
