Palm Sunday Cream Tea      
A huge thank you to Andrew Turner and all those who helped during the afternoon or preparing scones beforehand.  Many cups of teas were drunk and many scones were enjoyed and there was a lot of chatting, with people coming and going during the event.  

First Friday Lunch on 6 April 2018 - will be in support of USPG an Anglican charity, active since 1701, for the relief of poverty in many parts of the developing world.

Easter Flowers - Thank you very much to everyone who contributed so generously to my appeal for Easter lilies.  The flowers are donated in personal memory of so many people. Elisabeth B

Lent Lunches 2018
Each Friday during Lent an austerity lunch was held and as a result the following donations were made to charities:
The Glen Lorne Fellowship, Zimbabwe - £170
Embrace the Middle East - £130
Society of Mary and Martha at Sheldon - £160
The Children’s Society - £150
Jeel Al Amal orphanage, Bethany, Jerusalem - £230
Community of the Sisters of the Church - £180
A magnificent total of £1,020 – with grateful thanks to all who supported the lunches and to the Home and Overseas Committee for making them happen.

APCM
At the Annual Meeting on 18 April, we elect new members of the Church Council.  Nomination forms are on the noticeboard opposite the library. 
The Annual Report and Accounts for 2017 will be presented at the meeting.  A copy of these is on the Noticeboard inside the Church.  If you would like a paper or electronic copy please ask the PCC Secretary (Marjorie Kipling).  A summary - our 'Church Financial Times' - will be given out at the APCM.

Bible Reading Fellowship notes will be available in church pigeon holes for those who have ordered them, from Sunday 8 April 2018.  This is the time of year to pay, especially if you usually pay for the year - i.e. three booklets costing £13.50 (£4.50 each). Dennis F

Fun Quiz Night - get your tickets for a fun-packed evening on Saturday 21 April 2018 at 7.00pm in Westbourne Parish Hall.  Buffet supper and a soft drink included. Contact Angie Leggett on 377825 for tickets. 
Tickets £7.50 (half price for children) – all profits for church general funds.
