News and events

Parish Hall: there is some decorating and cleaning (mostly paintwork) to be done to the hall over the holiday. If you have any time to spare and can help please let me know. Andrew Turner 

Lost Property - please look for those lost glasses etc. in the lost property by the north door.

Christian Books.  Unwanted (Christian only) books in any condition are urgently needed in other countries. Please leave in the box at the back of the church. Thank you.

Bible Reading Fellowship notes - in church pigeonholes today for those who have ordered them, covering the period September to December 2018.  If anyone has not yet paid their subs for this year, this would be a good opportunity, and if anyone else thinks they might be interested in BRF notes please just ask Dennis Farr.

Sunday 26th August - Patronal Festival Lunch - free for everyone
In the Parish Hall, following a 10.30am Parish Communion service. Please sign up in the welcome area of St John the Baptist Church so that we know how many to cater for and if you are able, please indicate what food you can bring to share.

Church Social on Friday 7 September at Cranberry, North Street, Westbourne
Everyone is welcome, particularly those who helped at the Church Fete or with fund raising events, with work in the hall or being on any Church rota. Newcomers are specially invited. Drop in between 4pm and 7pm for a drink and nibbles, and a chance to chat. Jonathan & Marjorie

Sunday 9 September 2018, 09.30am – our mid-morning service will be a celebration of baptism (‘Christening’), to which those most recently baptised in the parish have been invited. Do feel able to invite others you know who are godparents or parents and would like to celebrate in this way; and come with your own godparents or godchildren in mind.
