Church Summer Fete – Saturday 21 July, 1.00pm-4.00pm
Have you seen the leaflet about the Church Summer Fete which lists ways you can help and goods you can start collecting to fill the stalls?  Please take and study a copy, or speak to Paula if you have any questions.
Postcards to advertise the event are ready for delivery to the streets in the Parish – please help by taking a bag to deliver.

Books for the Fete  Andrew & Julia Gordon-Lennox would be very pleased to receive any books you might want to give to the Fete Bookstall. To minimise the carrying of heavy books around, please do not put them in the Church - please contact them (number is in the printed version of the pew sheet in church or via the Parish Office).

First Friday lunch, 6 July 2018 - this will be in aid of Mission to Seafarers, do come and join us for lunch and good companionship. [I've still not decided which soup to make, but it will be fresh and home-made]. Looking forward to seeing you at 12.30pm. Val H

John Pickering - the funeral for John will be on Monday 23 July 2018 at 2.00pm at Chichester Cathedral.

Archdeacon Douglas - the farewell Eucharist planned to mark and celebrate the ministry of Douglas McKittrick has now been rescheduled for 11am on Saturday 13 October 2018.  All are welcome, and we shall advertise again nearer the date. 

Deanery Evensong -  Sunday 22 July at 6pm at St Nicholas, Thorney Island. Please bring photo ID, which you will need to pass through the security gate onto the southern part of the peninsula.

Church Times – recent weeks’ copies of the Church Times are available from the book rack near the north door at St John the Baptist Church. Do take and read, if interested, and return before they are committed to the recycling.

Plastic coloured screwtops – we are collecting these from milk or other bottles for use in art therapy classes at a mental health facility in Redhill.  Please leave any you collect in the receptacle at the back of St John the Baptist Church.

Tesco Tokens - f you shop at Tesco please support Christians Against Poverty, a Christian charity providing debt advice and financial support to those in current need. They are presently one of the charities that can be supported through the local Tesco in-store blue counter scheme for July and August at Tesco Extra Chichester, and Tesco Express in Chichester and East Wittering.

Keyboard player – anybody out there with fair piano/keyboard skills that they might be able to offer, have a word please with me. Revd Andrew Doye.

Parish Quiet Day, Saturday 4 August 2018 - Revd Andrew Doye invites you to join him on a quiet day at Birdham, which he will lead. Do sign up on the sheet in our churches. If over-subscribed, preference may be given to those who haven't been before, but at present spaces are available.
