If you have a loved one who has died in 2017 or 2018 and whose name we might read in the course of this service, please have a word with the Rector. Supper Lecture – The final lecture in this series is on Friday 23 November 2018, with a talk from Gillian Keegan MP. Tickets now available from Rona Musker or Susie D. November Wednesday evening talks (in church) begin this week – please see the list of Diary Dates, and note the changed venue. The talks will begin at 7.45pm, and will be preceded by a short communion service at 7.00pm. Emsworth Surgery - a public consultation on the venue for the future surgery - in the church on Tuesday 6 November, 2018, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Remembrance Sunday 11 November 2018 - the village Remembrance Service will begin at the War Memorial at 10.50am. There is an earlier 8am Communion that day and a beacon-lighting event on the Rectory Lawn at 6.45pm. 50:50 Draw - the October winner were 1st – No. 29 2nd – No.52 & 3rd – No.31. Christmas Fair, 1 December 2018 - please bear in mind the need for new gifts, bottle tombola, chocolate, gift bags, raffle, jam and chutney and crafts. Stall holders please make yourselves known to Jane Stuttard. Thank you. Confirmation - the deanery confirmation will take play in May 2019. Candidates will be prepared alongside those from other parishes and now is the time to let the Rector know if you or your child wish to be included. Youngsters would generally be in Year 8 or above, but exceptionally we can discuss those in Yr 7. Adults, may be of any age. The Parish Magazine - always welcomes contributors. There is a present vacancy for a reporter to join a small team to cover up to three meetings a year of the Parish Council. Speak to any editor or the Rector to learn more. Quiet Day at Chichester Cathedral, Dresden Room On Thursday 29 November 2018, Revd Andrew Doye is leading a quiet day for parishioners from 9.45am to 3.30pm. Please sign the sheet at the back of the churches to attend. Payment for the Quiet Day, by donation on the day. Community Pancake Breakfast – Saturday 17 November 2018 in the Parish Hall from 9.00 to 11.00am. Another opportunity to support the young people from The Bourne volunteering in Ghana next February.
