Patronal Festival Lunch - Thanks to all who helped to make the lunch last Sunday such a happy occasion – the cooks, the kitchen helpers, the laundresses and the furniture movers!  A real joint effort – and a special thank you to Susie Driver for ensuring i t happened!

Bishop Luffa School, applications for 2019 - a letter from the new head teacher, Mr Austen Hindman,  is presently on the notice board at the two churches. Bishop Luffa is a Church of England secondary school which welcomes applications from local families. The letter describes the application process this Autumn for places at the school.
Church Social on Friday 7 September 2018 - see notices in church or contact organisers Marjorie Kipling  Everyone is welcome, particularly those who helped at the Church Fete or with fund raising events, with work in the hall or being on any Church rota. Newcomers are specially invited.
Sunday 9 September 2018, 09.30am – our mid-morning service will be a celebration of baptism (‘Christening’).  It is for everyone, baptised or not, young or old, having (had) godparents or having been a godparent.   Some of those most recently baptised in the parish have been invited.  Do invite others you know who are godparents or parents and would like to celebrate in this way; and come with your own godparents or godchildren in mind.
