Word and Image - the Visual Commentary on Scripture is an on-line resource inviting us to view works of art that provide their own imaginative expansion upon  chosen biblical passages. New installations have been added recently. View it at https://thevcs.org/

Parish Giving Scheme  Please support our churches by means of a regular promised contribution, if possible through the Parish Giving Scheme. Leaflets and application forms are at the back of our churches or contact Ali George.
 
Ride and Stride, Saturday 14 September 2019 - this event is a sponsored ride (bike or horse) or walk in which people visit churches.  Is this something for you? Any funds raised are shared between Sussex Historic Churches Trust and your own church.  We hope to have St John the Baptist church manned to greet visitors. For more information see https://www.sussexhistoricchurchestrust.org.uk/ 

Chichester Diocese are running a free Social Media training workshop on Tuesday 17 September 2019, from 10am - 4pm in Hove. Please speak to a Church Warden if you feel this is something you could attend, the PCC would like further information on this topic.

The next Organ Recital will be by William McVicker on 21 September 2019. It will be preceded by a talk at 5.30pm, followed by an interval with the recital beginning at 7.00pm. Tickets £7 on the door. Book the date!

Tjhe next Deanery Evensong is scheduled for our parish church, Westbourne, on 29 September 2019 at 6pm. The visiting preacher will be Canon Angela Tilby.

Our Parish Hall - while the nursery school is on holiday there is an opportunity to do some much needed painting and decorating.  If you missed Andrew Turner’s notice last week but could help, please speak to him or leave a  note in the Parish Hall postbox.

Drop In volunteers - many people have volunteered their help over the years, but now we would like some more helpers to provide a welcome on a Monday and Thursday* morning from 10am to 12noon. You may have missed the notice last week - but if you would like to know more speak to Andrew Turner or Marjorie Kipling or just “Drop In” to find out what is involved.
