A ground-breaking web resource - The new Visual Commentary on the Bible matches three works of art with passages of scripture. Each triptych is chosen by a theologian or an art historian, and is linked carefully to the Bible passage. This is a growing resource, with more installations being uploaded each month.  Visit thevcs.org and save the site as a bookmark. ‘Excellent and inspiring; allow yourself a little time, and enjoy!’  (Rector)

Friday 8 March 2019 - Another superb Westbourne Supper Lecture
Tracy Borman, Palace Historian, will introduce her first novel “The King’s Witch: James 1 & the Gunpowder Plot” in the Parish Hall. Supper at 7.00 pm. Tickets £12.50 from Susie D or Rona Musker.

Intercessors: one way in which lay members of the congregation can enrich worship is by leading intercessions in the 9.30 communion service. If you might be interested, please get in touch either with the Rector or with Andrew Turner or Amy Turner. A deanery training event is set for 10am, Sat 9 Feb 2019 (very soon!).

Lent Groups for everyone. We shall arrange 4 house groups to meet during Lent for 5 sessions. Each can choose from 2 Chichester Diocesan courses; "Hear the Word of The Lord", written for the Year of the Bible (2017) or "Living Christ" compiled for the current Year of Vocation. More details shortly. Meanwhile, we have two venues but need two more for one evening and one daytime group. If you could offer to host or lead a group (not the same task), or would need to know more, please contact the Rector or Roddy.

Marmalade time again. Please help us to have another Marmalade Festival this year – on Saturday 2 March 2019 – by getting the oranges in the pan and stirring up some delicious marmalade once again. More details later.

Year of Vocation cards available in the Churches for all: to use in compiling of a spiritual ‘Rule of Life’.  These are personal to the user, and build up during these six months.  In Advent we were invited to identify patterns by which to shape our Prayer and Penitence; and in the Christmas season, we are asked to consider how we can respond to those in need, nearby and further away. On reaching decisions prayerfully, we may commit them to these cards: our private ‘rule of life’.
