Collect for the Ninth Sunday after Trinity

Almighty God, who sent your Holy Spirit to be the life and light of your Church; open our hearts to the  riches of you grace, that we may bring forth the fruit of the Spirit in love and joy and peace; through  Jesus Christ our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now  and for ever. Amen

This morning’s service will be live-streamed. Please note that the camera is at the left-hand side, in  the side chapel. The playing of the organ voluntary shortly before the service is an indication that we  should fall quiet and prepare for worship; this is even more relevant with live streaming, as anyone  listening from home can hear what is being said! The current system is temporary, with a more  permanent system, with different camera and microphone positions, due around the end of August.

Services in the Church: Not everything is back to normal! Please bring your face mask and be prepared to wear it – this will help to protect you and your neighbours while the Covid virus  remains a matter for concern nationally and locally. Communion is presently in the form of  bread alone. In the Parish Church, please enter by the North Door, and exit via the West Door.

The Church will be open daily for private prayer between 10.00am and 3.00pm.

For our prayers (please contact the Rector to add names)

• for a well-considered response to covid-19 in the UK, and for its relief across the world; • For all who have been impoverished as a result of the pandemic;

• for couples to be married this week and those married last week

• for all those known to us who are unwell: that God will bring them healing and wholeness

If there are causes or people that you wish to bring to the attention of the Church and its praying  community, please contact the Churchwardens.
