The Church is open for private prayer on Thursdays between 11am and 3pm, and Sundays between 12pm and 3pm, until further notice. Face coverings must be worn, please follow the signage and the one-way system and maintain social distancing. This global prayer movement invites Christians around the world to pray from Ascension to Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus. Since its start in May 2016 (as an invitation from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York to the Church of England) God has grown Thy Kingdom Come from a dream of possibility into a movement. Christians from 172 countries have taken part in praying ‘Come Holy Spirit’, so that friends and family, neighbours and colleagues might come to faith in Jesus Christ. This year is scheduled for Saturday 28 August 2021 - please put the date in your diary. The Churchwardens are looking for a volunteer to head a team to organise the event, and to join the planning team or run a stall or activities. Christian Aid week events for 2021 in WestbourneChristian Aid envelopes - This year envelopes have been delivered around the village. However, it is delivery only, so please return your donations in the envelope to The Window Box in the Square, Westbourne. Plant Stall - 9.30am -2.00pm Saturday 22 May 2021 on the Rectory Lawn. There will be a sale of plants to raise money for Christian Aid. We would welcome any spare plants you can donate for sale to raise funds and of course look forward to you all coming to buy too.
