Iona Pilgrimage: Andrew and Karen Doye will lead a trip to the island of Iona, off the coast of south-west Scotland, from 15-22 April, 2023. Following the initial information meeting, our thanks to those who have booked and paid a first deposit. From this week, we are opening the event to others in the local deanery and friends from elsewhere, so do feel able to pass on this news to any you personally know would be interested. We are limited to 23 places, the party staying at the Episcopal Church’s ‘Bishop’s House’. If you are were unable to attend the first information meeting (there will be a second), or have further questions, please contact Andrew and Karen directly.

Christmas Fair. Tentative plans are in the making for our Fair to return on Saturday 4 December 2021. Mark your diaries. Stallholders, helpers and contributions will be sought shortly. Sadly, Father Christmas will be absent this year: he has had to go into quarantine until closer to Christmas Day.

This year’s Harvest goods will be sent to UK Harvest, which serves the areas of Chichester and West Sussex: delivering goods to ‘not for profit organisations across the South Coast’. The contact number for the organisation is 01243 696940 and there is more information at https://www.ukharvest.org.uk/food-rescue/give-food.

The Parish Church’s Harvest Thanksgiving is set for 09.30am next Sunday and at Woodmancote at 11.15am, to which any are welcome. (For those with an existing awareness of Stonepillow, whom we have supported over a number of recent years, UK Harvest has a similar aim to benefit those in material need, but operates more broadly to a number of partner venues).

Relatives and Friends' Remembrance Service - Sunday 7 November 2021

This is a gentle service of remembrance, open to all, in which we shall honour and recall our loved ones who have dies since the beginning of 2019. This longer period reflects that we were unable to hold this much-loved service last year. There will be hymns, prayers and the lighting of candles.

Do please contact the Rector now if there is any family member or friend whose name you would like included, and if you would like to attend the Service.  It is entirely fitting to remember people from further afield if you yourself live more locally and are able to attend.
