Lord of all life and power, who through the mighty resurrection of your Son overcame the old order of sin and death to make all things new in him: grant that we, being dead to sin and alive to you in Jesus Christ, may reign with him in glory; to whom with you and the Holy Spirit be praise and honour, glory and might, now and in all eternity. Amen

Parochial Church Council Elections
At the APCM on Sunday 1st May, elections will be held including those for Churchwardens; Deputy Wardens; and to fill four vacancies in the PCC. If you would like to know more, please speak with the Rector, Church Wardens or any other existing members; and to stand for election, then ensure the completion of Nomination Forms which are available in the Welcome Area at St John the Baptist Church.

Whilst there will be greater opportunity to express thanks for her term of service at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting, it is fitting to record that Jane Stuttard will be stepping down as churchwarden at that event, and to begin to express therefore our considerable thanks to her.

Charity Events
Robina and Terry will hold a coffee morning on Saturday 23 April at Pound Cottage, White Chimney Row, to raise awareness and funds for the Tabora League for Children in Tanzania, ahead of their return visit. The project supports vulnerable children in Tabora with a meal a day, healthcare and education. Please come along.

Also on 23 April Rona and others will be supporting the RNLI Coffee Morning at Emsworth Slipper Sailing Club. Again, all welcome.

Details of forthcoming funerals can be found in the pew sheet in church or in the electronic version emailed to parishioners.

Westbourne consultation
Chichester District Council has launched a consultation regarding revision to the conservation area for Westbourne. The proposed revision is to include Westbourne Cemetery due to its special architectural and historic significance. Leaflets will be available in the Parish Hall for those wishing to be better informed or to offer replies.
