Annual Parochial Church Meeting and Council Elections

At the APCM at 11.00am next Sunday, elections will be held including those for Churchwardens, Deputy Wardens and to fill four vacancies in the PCC. If you would like to know more, please speak with the Rector, Churchwardens or any other existing members; and to stand for election, then ensure the completion of Nomination Forms which are available in the Welcome Area at St John the Baptist Church.

Whilst there will be greater opportunity to express thanks for her term of service at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting, it is fitting to record that Jane Stuttard will be stepping down as churchwarden at that event, and to begin to express therefore our considerable thanks to her for all that she has done with such distinction these past four years.

Easter flowers

For the flowers on Easter Sunday we have to thank all the generous people who have contributed money, many in memory of loved ones. Elisabeth Blower

Many have enjoyed the magnificent arrangements around our church, and a selection of pictures on our website, but huge thanks are also due to Elisabeth and her team of arrangers who spent time on Easter Saturday morning ensuring that we were able to do so. Thank you for sharing your artistic talents.

Consultation local area

Chichester District Council has launched a consultation regarding revision to the conservation area for Westbourne. The proposed revision is to include Westbourne Cemetery due to its special architectural and historic significance.  A copy of the Consultation document is available in the Parish Hall and in the Parish Church for those wishing to be better informed and to offer replies by 6 May 2022.
