Retirement: and the bells should ring for Peter W, who has this week stepped down from the role of Tower Captain, the leader of our bell ringers, after his sterling service in that role for 45 years.  Our congratulations and warm thanks to Peter for all he has done in that time.  He leaves things in the capable hands of Geoff A as ‘TC’.

Congratulations to our Choristers  Last Sunday we welcomed Ella as a full member of our choir, and Evie, Ella, Lucy, Mary and Lucy were presented with their dark blue ribbon having reached that level in the Royal Society for Church Music’s Voice for Life scheme. Megan is to receive her ribbon.

Singing Course  Alison Pearce who sings Songs for Summer, will be running a singing course in the church from this Sunday afternoon 24 July 2022.  From Monday 25 this will run each day from the morning and into the early afternoon; ending on Thursday 28, when there will be an informal concert at 2.30pm.  Observers are welcome throughout the course, and at the concert itself.

Bible Reading Fellowship.  The New Daylight notes for September to December are in the pigeonholes for those who have ordered them.

Intercessors, Servers, and other volunteers:  we welcome please new names of those who might lead our prayers in Church; and also amongst those who are robed Servers at the communion table, during 09.30am services.  If you wish to know more, with a view to helping in these ways, please speak to the Rector, the Churchwardens or Marjorie Kipling. Training will be provided for both roles.

We also need further people to act as Sidesperson, at 0930, and to join our post-service coffee team. These tasks recur roughly every sixth week.
