Living in Love and Faith (LLF)
Following the recent presentation, we offer a 5-session course for those interested to learn more about the Church of England’s LLF project.
Dates: 5 Tuesday evenings, from 5 July to 2 August at 7pm to 8.30pm.
Venue:  Parish Hall.
Please book your place now through the Rector. We will consider a second course if we have insufficient room.

Choral Evensong  12 June 2022, 6.00pm
This will be the first of these services with our full choir since lock-down. We will be joined by some members of Arundel Church choir, with whom we will sing the same service on 3 July 2022 at 5pm in Arundel. Do join us next week in our own Parish Church.

The Chalice at Communion
The PCC last week authorised the return of the chalice at Holy Communion at the earliest practical opportunity. This has meant from 1 June 2022 at our smaller services (midweek, 8am and Woodmancote); and possibly as soon as 12 June at our 09.30am service in the parish church. We know that worshippers will vary in their take-up of this resumed opportunity.  Any not wishing to take the cup will be fully respected in refraining; this is a personal decision.  We plan a helpful choreography at 09.30am to allow administration to proceed smoothly; this will include the use of a communion station in the north aisle, but will not for the moment at 09.30am include use of the altar at the east end. Participants will not in future be allowed to ‘intinct’, that is ‘to dip a wafer’, which has been disapproved as a method by the central Church.
It is reaffirmed that communion takes place with equal validity, whether in one kind (bread OR wine) or in both (bread AND wine).

Summer Fete – Saturday 23 July 2022, from 11am until 2.00pm
You are invited to a short meeting after the 9.30am service next Sunday 12
June 2022 to firm up on our plans, and confirm details, to ensure we have a great occasion. The Punch & Judy Show is booked, but we need lots of helpers, both on the day and with preparations in advance. Could you run a stall or a side-show, make jam or cakes, grow plants or help with publicity to make a great occasion?  Come to the meeting, and please offer your help now to Angie Leggett (377825).

Songs for Summer – Saturday, 23 July 2022 at 7.00pm – Save the Date
Professional soprano Alison Pearce will give a recital of songs to suit all tastes, accompanied by our own Stewart Taylor.  More details to come.

We continue to offer the Parish Church as a quiet place of contemplation in which to pray for the Ukraine. A pillar candle burns in the north chapel each day.  We suggest any donations are now sent  through DEC.

50/50 Draw
The winning numbers for May are 1st No. 28, 2nd No 51 and 3rd No. 27.
