Collect for the Fourth Sunday after Trinity

O God, the protector of all who trust in you, without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy: increase  and multiply upon us your mercy; that with you as our ruler and guide we may so pass through things  temporal that we lose not our hold on things eternal; grant this, heavenly Father, for our Lord Jesus  Christ’s sake. Amen

For our prayers (please contact the churchwardens to add names):

  • For the needs of the world, especially at this time of global pandemic;
  • For all who have been and continue to be affected by the pandemic;
  • For Elizabeth our Queen and all set in authority under her;
  • For all those known to us who are unwell: that God will bring them healing and wholeness;
  • For those as they prepare for their weddings;
  • For the families of those who have died;
  • For Andrew and Karen

If there are causes or people that you wish to bring to the attention of the Church and its praying community, please contact the Churchwardens.

Not the Church Fete

Instead of the Fete this year on 28 August 2021, we plan to hold a Village Tea on the Rectory Lawn and in  the Hall with tea and cake, Punch & Judy show, books and preserves. To make this inclusive of  everyone in the village there will be no charge but donations to church funds. Further details to follow. Jane & Angie

Facebook - We would like some help to make sure our Facebook page is kept up to date on a regular basis. If this would interest you, please speak to Jane or Angie or Marjorie

Communion setting - As mentioned earlier this month, the choir has been learning an alternative to the Thorne communion setting that we sing every Sunday. Today the Junior Choir will sing the Sanctus, Benedictus and Agnus  Dei from the new setting 'Trinity Mass' was written by Peter Dyke, Assistant Organist at Hereford  Cathedral, for Stewart’s previous church at Holy Trinity Hereford. This new setting will alternate with the Thorne setting season by season.

Calligraphy for our Memorial Book - Are you a calligrapher or do you know somebody who is? The  churchwardens are looking for someone to update our Memorial Book.

Spare fabric - Jane Stuttard has a quantity of fabric to rehome, please speak to her if you are interested, on (01243) 431810
